Asean Young Leaders Forum Regional Meeting 2017 
10 – 12 March 2017

The vision of AYLF is to gather the best leadership talents and steer them into championing contemporary issues pertaining to ASEAN countries. In addition, it aims at building a mutual relationship and strengthening regional cooperation among ASEAN countries. Five AYLF missions have been delineated:

• To build and enhance networking with ASEAN community.
• To address ASEAN issues.
• To train youths to become global leaders.
• To promote and empower positive cultural values among ASEAN community.
• To produce young leaders who are successful in international relations, socio-cultural and entrepreneurship arenas.

Dr. David Kloos is a historian and anthropologist with a focus on Muslim Southeast Asia. He works as a researcher at the Royal Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV) in Leiden, the Netherlands. His current research looks the ways in which female religious authorities (preachers, religious experts, and politicians) have become part of the public sphere in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Roundtable Discussion: Youth Against Terrorism

To create awareness among youths on the issue and explain the roles that can be played by the youths in supporting the authorities and the nonprofit organizations to diminish the terrorist threats.

Our mission from this event are:

1) To create awareness among youths on terrorism issue
2) To expose the youths to the reality of terrorism threat in ASEAN countries and what effort had been put in countering it.
